I think it will definitely take longer. It wouldn't surprise me if the current regime did nothing at all effective to end the recession.

I think that it will be a very soft recovery, even if the recession ends.  Several other economies have posted slight gains recently, but nothing to brag about, and who knows if it will stand afterwards.
